NASCAR racing has returned to Kansas City as Hollywood Casino 400 (formely called the Price Chopper 400 Presented by Kraft Foods).
Hollywood Casino 400 is held in the heart of the Midwest, at Kansas Speedway, in Kansas City, Kansas. This race is a 400.5-mile (644.5 km) NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race
Currently number three of the ten races which make up The Chase for the Sprint Cup, began with the 2009 race, then during the 2012 season, but in 2013, the race returned to being the fourth of the ten Chase races.
This NASCAR event gained a new sponsor and name since 2010 sponsored by Hollywood Casino, since 2010 the race is called as its corporate sponsor.
Kansas Speedway has been referred to as one of the "cookie-cutter" race tracks; meaning that it resembles many of the other modern-day tracks and, along with Chicagoland Motor Speedway, one of the two newest tracks to come upon the NASCAR scene.
Opened in 2001, the 1.5-mile course has 15 degrees of banking in the corners, and is just beginning to make a name for itself, having hosted two exciting races in 2006 and 2007. Now, by hosting the Price Chopper 400, the third of ten critical Chase races, NASCAR history will undoubtedly be written on a regular basis each and every season.
